Robert Tidd joined CalPrivate Bank in 2026 as EVP | General Counsel, where he serves as the Bank’s chief legal advisor and a strategic partner to the Board and executive leadership. As a senior financial-services attorney, he brings nearly 20 years of experience guiding financial institutions through complex regulatory, governance, and operational issues.

Previously, Mr. Tidd held senior leadership roles at Columbia Bank and Pacific Premier Bank where he led legal, privacy, and regulatory functions through periods of rapid expansion, including playing a central leadership role in 11 mergers that supported organizational growth from $750 million to more than $70 billion in assets. Throughout his career, he has focused on corporate governance, securities reporting, commercial and consumer lending, creditors’ rights, vendor and third-party risk, privacy, incident response, and regulatory compliance.

He earned his law degree from California Western School of Law and is a member of the American Bar Association, California Bar Association and Orange County Bar Association, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
