Human Resources Generalist - Beverly Hills, CA

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the HR Generalist will focus on end-to-end processing of commission plans and sales incentive payment calculations, HR compliance in the areas of benefits administration, leave management, and recruiting.



Compensation & Incentive Pay Analysis

  • Responsible for administration, validation, and processing of bi-weekly and quarterly incentive compensation plans for all commission eligible team members
  • Provide timely resolution of inquiries from commission plan participants

Recruitment and Staffing

  • Prepares job descriptions and postings
  • Responsible for sourcing non-exempt positions for the organization
  • Coordinates the interview process between hiring leaders and candidates
  • Prepares offer letters and coordinates with hiring manager.
  • Conducts local new hire orientation including payroll, time & labor and benefits specific content

Benefits, Leave and Worker’s Compensation Administration

  • Responds to inquiries related to benefits administration including coordinating with insurance company
  • Responsible for benefits administration, including but not limited to benefits billing reconciliation, team member coverage inquiries and benefit contributions associated with leaves of absence.
  • Responsible for the annual open enrollment process.
  • Responsible for the leave management process, including but not limited to, tracking, reporting, benefits coordination while on leave and the interactive process.

Payroll Backup & Support to Payroll Administrator

  • Processes bi-weekly payroll in absence
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies; provides payroll information by answering questions upon request
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Performs other duties as assigned


BSA/AML/ Compliance:

This position includes direct or indirect interaction with customers and other team members and therefore includes responsibilities relating to BSA/AML. The team member will have opportunity to examine and view information and documents produced by other team members of the Bank relating to BSA and therefore has the obligation to report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer as appropriate. The team member is responsible for understanding and following the Bank’s BSA/AML policies including elevating suspicious activity to the BSA Officer. Additionally, the team member is required to understand and follow the Bank’s compliance program.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of HR generalist experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with commission or incentive compensation plans
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required
  • Data analytics focused – highly preferred
  • Intermediate level mathematics is essential in the performance of the compensation responsibilities for this position
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, local laws, regulations, and standards applicable to the human resources and payroll functions
  • Ability to deal effectively and positively with applicants, team members, peers, and management staff
