Ms. Kaplan is currently a consultant in management, governance and human resources. From 1994 to 2016, she was President and CEO of the Jewish Community Foundation San Diego. Under her leadership, the foundation won top awards for governance and distributed community grants in excess of $1 billion, becoming the largest grant maker in San Diego.
Ms. Kaplan’s banking career started at Bank of America headquarters in the compensation and benefits division of Human Resources. She was promoted to Employee Relations Manager for the retail banking, data processing and international divisions. She then became Vice President of Human Resources at First National Bank of Denver and later Vice President of Investments. Ms. Kaplan also served as a private banker at Wells Fargo Bank San Diego.
